You will have direct access to Olympic and World champions, and elite sports performers, their coaches and sports science support who come to the BEST Centre year round for their warm-weather training camps. We also have a close relationship with Real Mallorca FC and the Rafa Nadal Academy among other elite sports centres on the island.
Loughborough College
Loughborough College is the biggest sport education provider in the UK and in terms of sports performance the most successful on the world stage. Partners include UK Athletics, England Netball, England Hockey, Women’s FA, Leicester City Football Club and Loughborough University.
In terms of academic provision, sport at Loughborough College gained a double outstanding grade at the last subject specific OFSTED inspection, something no other College has achieved.
BEST Centre
The BEST Centre was founded by two Olympic swimmers and has hosted over 100 Olympic, World and European medal winners since opening its doors in 2009. Individuals and teams of all levels come to train at the Centre, from club teams on their first warm weather camp to national teams preparing for Olympic and world competition.
We are looking forward a new chapter at the BEST Centre to make a profound impact on the sporting ambitions of young athletes and working with Loughborough College to offer this opportunity to combine education an outstanding education with full time sports training. With the Olympic pool, gym, football pitch and running track, clay court tennis courts, soft running trails, open water swimming and some of the best cycling terrain in Europe, the facilities in Colonia Sant Jordi are now world class.
